Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains what Next Level Up ("we") collects through the Next Level Up website and app, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies together with our Terms of Service.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, password (stored by our sign-in provider, never by us in readable form), whether your email is verified, and sign-in times.
- Device and session information: to keep each account to one person, we store a random identifier kept in your browser, a one-way fingerprint derived from browser settings (browser type, screen size, language, time zone and similar), a device label such as "Chrome on Mac", and records of blocked sign-ins and device changes.
- Billing information: handled by our payment partner. We receive your plan, subscription status, invoices and a customer identifier. We never see or store full card numbers. For sales tax, the payment partner collects your name, billing address and phone number.
- Content you upload: box score and results images and files, team names and seasons, and the player data in them: names (usually a first initial and last name), jersey numbers, positions and game statistics, which may relate to minors. We don't keep uploaded images after reading them; we store the data you review and save.
- Usage information: scans used and their cost, exports, shared-link views, and server logs (including errors) that we use to run and secure the Service.
How we use it
To provide the Service (reading box scores and results, computing stats and reports), enforce plan limits and one-person accounts, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, monitor reliability, and improve the Service. We do not sell personal information and do not use player data for advertising.
Service providers
- Google Cloud / Firebase: hosting, sign-in, database, backups and logs (United States).
- Anthropic: the AI model that reads uploaded box score and results images. Images and extracted text are sent to it for processing.
- Stripe: payments and the billing portal. Through Stripe Managed Payments / Link, Stripe acts as the merchant of record for purchases.
- Cloudflare: domain name (DNS) services.
Sharing
Your teams and reports are visible to you and, on Elite plans, to the coaches you add as seats. If you create a share link, anyone with the link can view that report until you turn sharing off. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
Retention
We keep account and team data while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your teams, delete games, turn off share links and cancel your plan at any time.
- To delete your account, or to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, email eric.s.jaffe@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and we'll honor them.
- Players and parents: if you believe a player's information was uploaded in error, email eric.s.jaffe@gmail.com and we'll review it and remove it where appropriate.
Children
The Service is meant for adults (coaches, team staff and parents). We don't knowingly create accounts for children or collect information directly from them. Player statistics are provided by adult users.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, server credentials are kept in a managed secret store, and access to stored data is restricted by security rules and server-side checks. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes and contact
We'll notify you of material changes to this policy by email or in the app. Questions: eric.s.jaffe@gmail.com.
